ROMANIA: SEARCH A CHILD, PAY CASH

Thanks for Faux Claud for posting this link on Facebook Search a Child, Pay Cash is a German TV documentary on Romanian adoption corruption, the adoption industry globalist lobby, diplomatic ball busting, and the work of EU investigator Roelie Post. It’s important. It’s sickening. Here is Post’s blog: For Export Only The film needs no comment from me. The sound on Part 4 is tanked, but the English subtitles make the problem minimal. AN OPEN LETTER TO THE EVAN B. DONALDSON ADOPTION INSTITUTE FROM BASTARD NATION

In December 2007, members of Bastard Nation attended the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute’s “For the Records–National Conclave” in New York City. At the end of the day, nearly everyone agreed that compromise legislation to restore the right of birth certificate access to some adoptees and not others, is unacceptable. Participants never heard back from the Donaldson– until June 25, that is, when we received an email from Susan Hicks, recently hired project administrator of the Donaldson’s open records project. Ms. Hicks, self-described as the lead advocate for the Massachusetts “access” bill, sold a generation of Massachusetts adoptees down the river to get access for some. Continue Reading →

MASSACHUSETTS: AND THE BEAT GOES ON!

Oh look! The message on Ms. Morrisey’s MySpace page has changed again. Baby Safe Haven New England You Have To Wonder What’s Up When some Moron Keeps Blogging DOWN What’s on this Page.. Temporarily On Private Due To Busy Bodys That Have Nothing Better To Do! What does “blogging DOWN” mean? This grammatically and spelling challenged statement is rich coming from a SAHM with no previous interest in adoption, who apparently has had nothing better to do with herself for the last five years than busybody around adoption and undermine the identity rights of current and future adoptees through her and hubby’s “Baby Safe Haven” dog and pony show. Why does Ms. Morrisey frequently shut down her MySpace page, post bizarre messages on her profile about the closing, (aimed at me, apparently, though blogger Adopted Jane no doubt is also a public menace) and periodically keep the ever-curious public away from her own statement about her arrest? If I were her, I’d want the public to know my side of the story, not the report written by a “journalistic pig” and published by the local “journalistic rag.” (see previous entries for explanation). AND SHE CALLS US “BUSY BODYS”!The fact is, Ms. Continue Reading →

MASSACHUSETTS: ADOPTEES BLACKLISTED BY BEACON HILL

I’d rather vote for something I want and not get it than vote for something I don’t want, and get it.,,,Eugene V. Debs A sad day for Massachusetts adoptees: Governor Deval Patrick signed SB63. The ABC crowd couldn’t be happier. Though they have made no formal statement this was posted on their website this afternoon (September 6): We thank Governor Patrick, Senator Frederick E. Berry, Senator Karen E. Spilka, Representative John Lepper, Representative Stephen P. LeDuc, the Committee on Children, Families and Persons with Disabilities and the Massachusetts Legislative Children’s Caucus for making this bill law. We are also grateful to all the supporters in the adoption community who worked with us to get his bill signed into law. AND THEY WONDER WHY WE CALL THEM DEFORMERS!ABC* has done what no other “adoptee rights” organization has done. In its eagerness to “stop the clock” and play the hero, ABC lobbed an entire generation of adult adoptees into the great “dustbin of history.” It has (1) “legitimized” the false doctrine of ‘implied promises” promoted by NCFA et al for nearly 30 years ; and (2) acceded to the demands of blockhead politicians, adoption “professionals” and special interests to sell out the Continue Reading →

BASTARD NATION TO DEVAL PATRICK: VETO SB63!

NOTE: Scroll down for Bastard Nation Action Alert and how you can help stop tihs bill from becoming law.September 5, 2007 His ExcellencyDeval Patrick Massachusetts StatehouseRoom 360Boston, MA02133 RE: Senate Bill 63: An Act Further Regulating Access to Birth Certificates—Please Veto Dear Governor Patrick: Bastard Nation: The Adoptee Rights Organization, the largest adoptee civil rights organization in North America, urges you to veto SB63. This bill establishes an unacceptable tiered system for adoptees to obtain their original birth certificates which are currently sealed by the state. Instead of treating all adopted adults equally, this bill doles out favors based solely on date of birth. (1) Adopted persons 18 years of age or older born in the commonwealth on or before July 17, 1974 or on or after January 1, 2008 or an adoptive parent of an adopted person under 18 years of age and born in the commonwealth on or after January 1, 2008 will be “allowed” unrestricted access to the original birth certificate. (2) Adopted persons born in Massachusetts between those dates cannot access their original birth certificates without a court order or other special procedures. (3) The bill also establishes a “subject to appropriations” voluntary state-operated “contact information Continue Reading →

MASSACHUSETTS: MARTA TO GOV. PATRICK–VETO SB63!

NOTE: Scroll down for Bastard Nation Action Alert and how you can help stop tihs bill from becoming law. September 4, 2007 His Excellency Deval Patrick, GovernorState House, Room 360Fax: RE: SB 63 Adoption Bill Dear Governor Patrick, Massachusetts Access Rights to All (MARTA) asks you to veto SB63. This bill creates an unfair, discriminatory, tiered system in which adopted persons born in Massachusetts on or before July 17, 1974 and on or after January 1, 2008 can receive copies of their unaltered original birth certificates. Adoptees born between those dates will not be allowed to receive their original birth certificate except by petitioning the court. MARTA believes that all people born in Massachusetts should be able to receive a truthful copy of the state record of their birth regardless of their adoptive status..SB 63 is a mean-spirited, ugly, discriminatory bill. It is a slap in the face of every person adopted in Massachusetts. Adoption is supposed to be about the “best interests” of the child. But when that child grows up he or she apparently loses “best interest” status. Our “best interest” is suddenly subjugated to a government-created mythological “interest” du jour–in the case of SB63, an inexplicable codification Continue Reading →
