I watched this whole thing yesterday and was just … I was just flabbergasted. You can really understand how powerful the lobbying is with their pictures of “poor defenseless orphans” in heart-wrenching black & white.
I read Roelie’s book when it came out.
The documentary said 30,000 Romanian children have been exported. How many Chinese, Russian and Guatemalan children have been exported to the US and other Western countries.
Nobody wanted to believe it. I do.
As an aside, I was at that conference in NYC where Elizabeth Bartholet spoke. It wasn’t all about keeping I.A. open! A few of us rabble-rouserz and contrarians were present.
