OHIO: A CHILD’S WAITING HEARING UDATE

I went down to 30 E. Broad this morning for the first day of the 3-week Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services ACW licensing hearing and learned it has been postponed until June 16. The person I spoke with informed me that there is “talk of a settlement.” In AdoptaLingo that probably means a license revocation won’t happen, but a suspension might. But maybe not! Stay tuned for more!

  1. It would be wonderful if one of the conditions of a suspension would be the return to her family of Evelyn Bennett. This has gone on long enough!

  2. I wonder what Evelyn’s adopters feel about all this right now? No doubt the Skanks are stringing them along–and all the accusations against the agency are just “mistakes.”

I could never hold on to a kid whose family wanted her back and was going to great lengths to see that she is returned. And on the adopter side, why would anybody create all that stress and worry for themselves? The easy solution for all would be to return Evelyn and move on.

What are the Skanks telling these people?

  3. I was wondering the same thing, esp since I too am an AParent. No way on earth would I keep a child who had been coerced from her first family.

Thanks for the ACW update, Marley.

Is there a way to apply more pressure to the board to get ACW’s permanently suspended?

    Just let me know…
