Subject: A baby boy named Abraham!
A pregnant woman contacted us via our helpline nine (9) weeks ago seeking information and assistance, explaining that she was not able to provide a future for her child. She received medical care throughout her pregnancy and gave birth to a very health little boy. His name is Abraham.
We coordinated the “Safe Haven” process for her with the hospital. The mother praised the hospital staff saying “This was a very difficult time for me. They were so compassionate, kind and did not judge me. I am so thankful for that. Also, I don’t know what I would have done if it wasn’t for the guidance, assistance and support of the Safe Haven for Newborns staff.”

Can it be any more clear that this is what, as we predicted ten years ago?

Lil Abe was secreted away and disappeared right into Florida’s private adoption mill under the guise of baby saving. How this could be considered ethical, even by the ethically challenged professional baby dump class, is beyond me.
I’ve got more to say about this, but it’s getting late and I’m covering an event for the Free Press tomorrow, so I’ll go for now. This specific incident isn’t over yet.
This is one of the reasons we are getting the *%@$ out of this horrible state. If ever there was a state legislature in the hip pockets of adoption attorneys and the adoption industry, it’s in Tallahassee.
We have the infamous 24-hour rescinding statute, pre-birth surrenders, ‘chooselife’ license plates, ‘safe havens’ and adoption-agency-connected ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ on every block. The main traffic arteries in the state, I-4 and I-95, have several LARGE billboards directed towards, mainly, pregnant teens, and pushing adoption like a barker pushes a side-show. It makes me physically ill.
I dislike FL, intensly and cannot wait for spring when we leave this damn snake pit.
Floria is one big adoption mill. They look to Utah as a model.
I don’t know how this latest case can be tolerated. Did the woman call up and say, I’m having a baby in9 weeks and I intend to kill it if you don’t help me?
I think it was more like – “I’m having a kid in nine weeks and I really don’t want to have to do all that paperwork and counseling just to give it away. Is there some kind of drive-by adoption I could do?”
How can this be tollerated! A safe haven baby being named Marley! WFT!

Families celebrate safe haven program
It would be hard to find a more impassioned promoter than its new coordinator, Tricia Burkett.
“It is and will always be very personal for me,” said Burkett, a neonatal intensive care social worker. Her daughter, 1-year-old Marley, was adopted through the program.
This is indeed outrageous, Saf! I shall seek legal advice tomorrow.
