NAM/NAAM Day 26. Adoption Affirmations: Adoption is Redemption

What would National Adoption (Awareness) Month be without Adoption Affirmations? I’m throwing out a few tonight for you to meditate on as we approach Thanksgiving.

What in the world does this even mean? Who is rescued? Who is redeemed. Bastards? Biomothers? Adopters? The Adoption Industry, which is desperate for new product. If we all work together we can redeem the purpose of adoption. $$$$

The redemption message is creepy. The whole thing reminds me of the tale of the Miller’s Daughter and Rumpelstiltskin. Or in a practical sense, in the days of yore taking your Green Stamps books to the Redemption Center and trading them in for a living room lamp or a hairdryer . Come to think of it….

And what does this mean? Seriously, I don’t know. Who is lost? Is the little girl standing at the at door of an outhouse?

How about blaming mouthy bastards who can’t get no satisfaction?

These lovely sentiments all come from the Facebok page operated by Talk About Adoption, a non-profit anti-abortion organization, run by Callie Jett Liberty University alum, farmer, RN, certified post-partum doula, certified lactation counselor, anti-masker, anti-trans Trumper. who says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is an” ungrateful thug.” Good thing she’s never met me! Predictably, she is of the “pro-adoption” ilk who work hard to keep us in the Black Hole of Adoption Secrecy. Crawl in that hole and shut up, Ungrateful Bastard!

Talk About Adoption was established to end the “stigma “of choosing adoption and to “decrease the desire for abortion.” That is, scoot women down the adoption chute. Their website and social media also attract women already stamped with birthparents status, hopeful adopters, and egg- ucking adoptees. Safe Haven Baby Boxes Inc is included in the organization’s resource list.

In 2020 ,Adoption Speaks held a virtual online conference. You can see the sponsors here. They included the National Council for Adoption, Focus on the Family, The Radiance Foundation, Liberty University, Nightlight Adoptions, and Heartbeat International. You know, The Usual Suspects.

I planned originally to write more about these affirmations and the websites, but time is short tonight, so I’m just throwing them out here for your betterment. Repeat after me:
