DESPERATE PARENTS DROP OFF G.W. BUSH AT NEBRASKA HOSPITAL: MORE POLITICIANS TO COME?

This just in! Citing Nebraska’s Safe Haven Law to take in unruly children, The Former President and First Lady, dropped off the current President, George W., hoping the action would finally give the nation some peace during the declining days of his Presidency… “Signing those final abandonment papers was really hard,” W’s Mom said, “but we were at our wits end. His infantile, incorrigible behavior for the past 7 plus years almost broke his father’s heart. Thank God for Nebraska!. It will really serve as “the last safe haven for the Country!” continued hereOK. As opposed as I am to any “safe haven” law, I’ll make an exception in this case. Mr. Bush’s parents have obviously done the right thing for themselves and the country. Now if only Roberta McCain could come to the same conclusion. If it saves just one……

JOHN MCCAIN: "WE HAVE TO MAKE ADOPTION EASIER"

NOTE: This entry was originally much longer. Due to commitments this Labor Day Weekend, I am unable to finish up, so I am publishing only Part 1. Part 2 will go up next week. The other day I posted Another Reason to Hate John McCain: He Lies About Adoption. I’d now like to point you to Pound Pup’s Legacy’s The Black Sheep (please read it all!) for a further view of The John & Cindy Show. Niels lays out a disturbing idea that should send up red flags for anyone with even a passing interest in adoption ethics: It is a weird story and though it never raised much suspicion, it doesn’t make much sense to me, unless it is to cover up the fact John McCain used his political influence to circumvent normal procedures. What couple wouldn’t discuss such an important decision without at least consulting one another? Was there no contact between the two, while Cindy McCain was in Bangladesh? ****** During his Saddleback Forum interview with Rick Warren, McCain made the Piercian claim, that USians rush to adopt internationally because adoption in the US is too difficult. Though non-committal, McCain seemed open to Warren’s suggestion that the Continue Reading →

ANOTHER REASON TO HATE JOHN MCCAIN: HE LIES ABOUT ADOPTION

Ha! I knew I wasn’t imagining things. Back in 1991 the McCains’ adoption of Baby Bridget from Bangladesh was hot discussion. Two years later when I got online it was still going strong. Coupled with Cindy McCain’s boozing and pill-popping and my Beltway buddies’ assurance that the grumpy senator had a hard-on for international adoption baybee brokers, it all made for delicious conjecture. Curiousier, the story of the McCain adoption and Mother Teresa’s (non) role in it has changed substantially through the years as revealed in yesterday’s HuffPo: Anatomy of a Deception: How the McCains Changed Their Adoption Story Just Before 2008 Campaign Began I’m not going to repost the whole thing, but here’s a sample. The story starts in 1999 and gets revised to meet the McCains’ needs periodically up to this week: As was pointed out yesterday by the Christian Science Monitor, the McCain campaign was called out for lying about the purported urging of Cindy McCain by Mother Teresa herself to adopt two children at her orphanage back in 1991. Turns out, McCain never met or even spoke with Mother Teresa on that trip. Once confronted by the Monitor about the deception, the campaign quickly erased such Continue Reading →
