What to make of this video posted on Facebook the other day, by Safe Haven Baby Box Inc’s founder/CEO Monica Kelsey,–other than she has gone out of her ever-lovin’ mind. Of course. we knew this all along. I mean, who can forget her celebratory twerk when a baby was dropped into her Bloomington, Indiana baby box.

This was posted on November 21, 3 days after my post questioning Mrs. Kelsey’s origin narrative. I don’t know if this video is a reaction to it or it’s a sign of general frustration that she is not immune to questions and criticism. Did some city council turn down her offer of a baby box? I’ve done some media interviews in the last few weeks, and let’s say questions are beginning to float around in the news-o-sphere that I’ve not seen before.

Despite what the video implies, I can’t think of anything Mrs. Kelsey has that I want . (I lied. I’d not mind her and the Mr.’ s combined near $200k salary). I am certainly not jealous of what “she has.” Her proposed “family compound” makes me think of Waco. AdoptionLand holds nothing but disdain and disgust for her baby abandonment project, and her contempt of us, our rights, the rights of the babies she “saves,” the biofamilies she dismisses, the adoption mills whose doors she doorstops open, and the closets she wants to shove us in.

Mrs Kelsey doesn’t get it yet that as a “public person” she is open to criticism, questioning, correction. Even ridicule. Her little video is ridiculous and Trumpy. Some clueless attempt at Stochastic terrorism? I doubt it. Just playing Mrs Machisma. Mrs. Kelsey is the victimizer, not the victim.

Bastrards have been trashed for decades for demanding the restoration and maintenance of our civil rights. We prevail, and quite frankly, we don’t give a flying care, what anybody says. Unlike Mrs. Kelsey and her widdle feelings.

I can imagine the uproar that would explode if I posted a video of myself banging away on a Sig P226. Or if trad safe haven advocates went on TikTok, lobbing hand grenades at a tree stump.

Sometimes National Adoption(Awareness) Month is fun.
